Wayne Rooney is not going to be playing with his team for two months after an injury was caused to his leg. Medics have stated that Rooney's gash was one of the worst kind they have seen.
The cut went through his thigh, injuring his muscle all the way to the bone. He required 10 stitches along with another long weaving stitch inserted inside his leg.
Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson initially thought the injury would cause Rooney to be sidelined for one month, but Rooney might not be able to play for two months.
Rooney could now miss England's World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine, United's first three Champions League matches and crunch league games against Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea.
