Starring the late Heath Ledger in his last ever film role, plus character adaptations from Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, this fantastical morality tale certainly isn't lacking in imagination.
Set in the present-day, director Terry Gilliam brings to life the story of Dr. Parnassus and his extraordinary travelling show.

In addition to the last big screen performance by Ledger, before his tragic death in 2008, the film also features Depp, Law and Farrell – all of which share the role of Tony, a mysterious outsider who joins the group.
The film also stars Christopher Plummer as the Doctor and actor/musician, Tom Waits has been cast as the Devil, also known as Mr Nick.

The 'Imaginarium' is a device which allows members of the audience watching the show to get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom.
Blessed with the gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Dr Parnassus is secretly cursed, having made a deal with the devil thousands of years ago in which he won immortality.
Centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his daughter reached her 16th birthday, she would become the property of Mr Nick.

But as this day nears, Dr Parnassus is desperate to protect his little girl, Valentina ( Lily Cole), from her from her impending fate.
The film hits UK cinemas on October 16.
