EastEnders star Billy Murray is thinking of quitting the soap because he doesn't like his character.
Gangster Johnny Allen has taken control of the Square in the six months since his arrival, but that is apparently not enough for actor Billy, the Sun reports.
Low morale on set and sniping between members of the cast has reportedly also put him off, despite the fact that he has two and a half years left to go on his contract.
"Billy wants out. He's not happy on the show. There's a lot of back stabbing and some of the stars don't get on," an insider told the newspaper.
"And he doesn't even like his character."
It's easy to see why this might be - Johnny bumped off arch rival Andy Hunter within hours of arriving on the scene, while he also got rid of the Ferreira family.
But while he is a nasty piece of work, the gangster has also shown his softer side in dealing with the tensions between his teenage daughter, Ruby, and his mistress, Tina.
Last night a BBC spokesman denied Billy wasn't happy, saying he was well liked by cast and crew.
