A new video of Angelina Jolie, which was taken in 1999, was released online by a man who claims to be her former drug dealer.
In the video, Tomb Raider star Angelina was seen looking wild-eyed and strung out. The video was recorded after she shot to fame with her Golden Globe winning performance in Gia - a period which the actress described as “dark” and “dangerous.”
Franklin Meyer, the man who claims to have posted the video, said that he shot the footage with Jolie’s consent. “Angie was a client of mine for several years,” Meyer claims. “I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs.”
“At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money.”
The first part of the video shows Angelina talking on the phone. Meyer claims that the person on the other line was her father, actor Jon Voight. Jolie’s conversation appears to be centered around a family issue, and is convoluted.
Meyer added that he sold Angelina $100 worth of cocaine or heroin around four times a week and that the actress would not mind taking the drugs in front of him. “It didn’t seem to matter to her who was there.”
Meyer also made claims that Angelina was high on cocaine during a high-profile appearance to promote her 1999 film Girl, Interrupted which she won an Oscar for.
