Vicky Pryce, aged 60, has been found guilty of perverting the course of justice. This concerns the case surrounding her former husband Chris Huhne and speeding points.
The Southwark Crown Court heard the verdict given by Judge Mr Justice Sweeney. Reportedly, Ms. Pryce claimed she was made to accept the speeding points, but this claim was not accepted. The incident in question goes back 10 years ago.
Judge Mr Justice Sweeney said: “Obviously Ms Pryce was present when I indicated to Mr Huhne the inevitable consequences of a conviction for an offence of this sort.”
Adding: “She must be under no illusions that my granting of bail indicates any watering down of that provisional approach.”
Ms. Pryce has received bail, but it is understood that there is no set date for sentencing, as of time of press.
58-year-old Mr. Huhne, a former cabinet member, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice.
