Presenter and actress Denise Van Outen is pregnant with her first child, it has been reported.

The Sun stated that the 35-year-old ex-'Big Breakfast' presenter and husband Lee Mead confirmed the news to their loved ones following Van Outen's 12-week scan.

A source said: "To say they are ecstatic would be an understatement. The baby's healthy and everything's going to plan."

Van Outen is due to give birth in May, but she will still reportedly go ahead with her new show on the BBC which searches for talented stars for 'The Wizard of Oz'.

An insider commented: "She's insisting she'll work all through her pregnancy."

Van Outen met Mead when she was a judge on reality show 'Any Dream Will Do', which the 28-year-old theatre actor won.

Van Outen has also had success on stage after winning the role of Roxie Hart in the musical 'Chicago'. The pair married in April this year.
