Having last appeared to cinema audiences as a blood spattered bride, Uma Thurman has decided her next project will be a romantic comedy.
She has stepped into a role left behind by Sandra Bullock - who left after having problems with the script - and began filming on Wednesday.
Thurman plays a woman who falls for the son of her therapist, played by Meryl Streep, in the film Prime.
Bullock's departure from the set meant that filming started a week late.
The film is written and directed by Ben Younger, who also wrote and directed the Vin Diesel/Ben Affleck thriller Boiler Room.
