Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke are set to divorce within a month.

Lawyers for the Hollywood couple, who separated 17 months ago, are said to be close to amicably sealing the deal that will end their seven-year marriage.

Uma's lawyer is quoted by America's New York Post newspaper as saying: "We're expecting everything to be fully settled by next month."

The pair, who have two children together - Maya and Roan - reportedly split because their acting careers put too much strain on their marriage.

Ethan also publicly denied an alleged affair with 22-year-old Canadian model Jennifer Perzow.

He confessed to America's Detail magazine: "The story of us breaking up over infidelity has been annoying. If our problems were that simple, we'd still be together. We'd been having troubles long before the press got hold of us.

"It is very difficult for any marriage if both people are ambitious. I don't know if it's just too hard to be married to a woman that wants to be a movie star."

But the couple have, however, remained friends and Uma confessed earlier this year she would "always love" Ethan.

She revealed: "We have two kids together, it's very special. I'll always love him."
