Ben Affleck has complained he is being typecast - as himself.
The 'Good Will Hunting' actor - who returns to the big screen after a two-year break in 'Hollywoodland' - says finding the right role to come back with was hard because producers did not see him as a fictional character.
He told the USA Today newspaper: "Modern typecasting isn't about, 'I think of you as the captain from 'Star Trek', therefore I can't watch you in 'X-Men'. Now it's, 'I think of you as yourself, therefore I can't watch you in a fictional story'."
Affleck - who won the best actor award at the Venice Film Festival for his portrayal of tragic Superman actor George Reeves in the film - also revealed returning after such a long sabbatical means he has to prove himself again.
He said: "I have to prove myself all over again, but I don't mind that."
