The 'Twilight' series was hailed a success for the British box office after it scooped up three top trophies at the National Movie Awards.
The second instalment, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' , won best fantasy movie, and Robert Pattison, who plays Edward Cullen in the vampire flick, was honoured with best performance award.
The upcoming third film in the fictional series – 'Eclipse' – was awarded the award for the most anticipated summer movie.
Another fantasy series, 'Harry Potter', was a big winner at the ceremony, taking two trophies.
'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince' was named the best family film, beating 'Nanny McPhee & The Big Bang' and computer animated movie 'Up'.
And the 'Harry Potter' series was given the special recognition award. Presenting the accolade, Kylie Minogue said: "It might be the beginning of the end, but 'Harry Potter' will remain in our hearts forever."
The film series, which is based on JK Rowling's books, will come to a conclusion once the last two movies have been made.
Producer David Heyman paid tribute to the author: "On behalf of the 'Harry Potter' family I'd like to thank Jo Rowling for giving us the books. Without her we wouldn't be here," he said.
An emotional Watson said: "There will be a huge hole in my heart when it's over."
Other winners on the night included Guy Richie's 'Sherlock Holmes', which stars Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr, which was named best action movie thriller.
Tom Cruise claimed the screen icon award at the event which was voted for by the public, which he attended with wife Katie Holmes.
Receiving the award from Gwyneth Paltrow, Cruise said: "If I have entertained you at all, I thank you. Thank you for allowing me to do so."
Meanwhile, the award for best breakthrough film went to 'The Time traveller's Wife', beating 'Coco Before Chanel', 'Harry Brown', 'Nativity!', 'Paranormal Activity' and 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'.
