Troubled stars join Celebrity Big Brother

The next series of Celebrity Big Brother looks set to follow the trend of flooding our screens with psychologically damaged C-listers with news that EastEnders' Spencer Moon may be in the running.

Actor Chris Parker left the BBC 1 soap after a suicide scare purportedly over claims about his sexuality.

He has now reportedly been offered 50,000 to appear in the Big Brother house in January.

An insider at the show's makers, Endemol, told the Sun: "They are desperate to get Chris to join the line-up.

"They think he has a lot to say about recent events and believe he will be popular with the voting viewers after he was a favourite on Strictly Come Dancing."

Either that or the TV bosses are keen to make as much as they can out of the 21-year-old's pain.

And it does not stop there - other housemates may include 1980s soccer playboy Frank McAvennie, best known for that photograph of him, some strippers and some white powder.

Former Chelsea player Adrian Mutu, caught taking cocaine in September and now consigned to weeks of rehab and counselling, could also add to the disturbing line-up.
