After almost 20 years, Teletubbies – Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po, are coming back for new episodes. As they returned, it was revealed that their new look comes with touch screen tummies and will still have characteristics antennae on their heads.
Both the main characters and Home Hill “have been visually enriched” and will feature growing and blooming flowers. The setting has also been upgraded and will feature eco-friendly windmill made of natural materials.
Stand-up Daniel Rigby will narrate the new episodes, while Sunshine On Leith star Antonia Thomas will voice the opening and closing lines.
Meanwhile, Anne Wood who co-created the original show that began in 1997, criticised the show’s revival, saying she would not watch it.
"I'm a bit sad. It comes down to the times we're in," she said.
She added: "People feel safer remaking hits of the past rather than investing in something new."
