We’ve put together our Top 10 James Bond Songs, so if you want to take a minute to reminisce on the tracks that have accompanied the world’s best spy throughout the ages, then check out this week’s Top 10 James Bond Songs…
10. “007 Theme”
Composed by John Barry in the early 1960s, originally for the James Bond film From Russia with Love. This tune has appeared in other Bond films too, not forgetting Thunderball (that underwater fight scene!)
9. “For Your Eyes Only”
This track was composed by Bill Conti in 1981. The original poster for the film wasn’t too popular, as a lady holding a crossbow with her buttock slightly revealed was used as the main image.
8. “Casino Royale”
Did you know that the film, which was shown in 2006, was enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth II who attended the premiere!
7. “Thunderball”
This track was sung by the legendry Tom Jones to accompany the also legendry star Sean Connery, who played Bond in the 1965 flick.
6. “You Only Live Twice”
Nancy Sinatra sings this song, which was also composed by John Barry. It’s a great track!
5. “Diamonds Are Forever”
This has to be one of the most popularly known Bond songs, with the now Dame Shirley Bassey flexing her vocal cords for this film. The movie was directed by Guy Hamilton.
4. “Nobody Does It Better”
Composed by Marvin Hamlisch and sung by Carly Simon, this track has resounded through the ages since its appearance on the 1977 James Bond film.
3. “Goldfinger”
There she is again, Dame Shirley Bassey! This tune dates back to 1964 believe it or not!
2. “Live And Let Die”
This has to be in our top 10! Thank you Sir Paul McCartney for your singing on this gloriously epic 007 theme tune!
1. “Skyfall”
Of course it’s our favourite James Bond song! With home-grown talent Adele singing this song, who doesn’t like the latest 007 track?!
