Investors are being encouraged to think about ethical and green investments, twenty years after their introduction.
Socially responsible investment (SRI) has been a watchword of recent years, and now there are even more opportunities to become a conscientious investor.
IFA Promotion has decided to mark the 20th anniversary of Friends Provident's Stewardship Fund, by offering a free fact sheet covering points to be aware of, and questions to ask before making investment decisions.
David Elms, the chief executive of IFA Promotion, says: "If you have concerns over socially responsible investing, visiting an IFA who focuses on this area is the best way to assess all the options available, and help you make an informed decision."
He added: "Taking responsibility for how your money is used is an increasingly popular decision."
The fact sheet dispels the myth that ethical investments cannot perform well. It includes information on the benefits of such investments and company disclosure policies.
It also deals with topics such as, why investors should consider green or ethical investments, and how to find out which companies have ethical policies.
