The Wire actor stabbed in nightclub attack

Actor Anwan Glover, who played “Slim Charles” in Wire, was stabbed in a nightclub over the weekend.

The Wire actor Anwan Glover was stabbed on Saturday night during a nightclub attack, it has now been revealed.

The 41-year-old, who is famous for his role as “Slim Charles”, was rushed to hospital in Washington D.C. after suffering a laceration to his side. 

 

According to police report, Glover said that he was attacked by two unknown men from behind and punched to the ground. 

 

Someone at the scene on the second floor at Café Asia then shouted “he has a knife!” before Glover felt a pain in his side. 

 

Glover has already been released from the hospital. Police are now appealing for witnesses. 

 

Glover launched an anti-violence campaign after his brother was shot and killed in 2007.
