Movie studio Paramount are reportedly considering re-making Cecil B DeMille's 1956 classic "The Ten Commandments".
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mark Gordon ("Saving Private Ryan") will produce the re-make, with Charles Randolph ("The Life of David Gale") penning the piece.
This would be the third time a film with this title has hit cinemas.
DeMille first produced a version of the Biblical epic in 1923 - a silent movie shot in black and white with technicolour added.
The legendary director returned to the story in 1956, this time with Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner and Anne Baxter playing the lead roles.
This version was one of the greatest epic projects ever attempted, with 14,000 extras and 15,000 animals used in the production of the movie. To create the illusion of the Red Sea parting, 300,000 gallons of water were poured into a giant tank.
It was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including best picture.
