Tara Reid cancels wedding

'American Pie' actress Tara Reid has called off her wedding.

The Hollywood starlet had initially planned to wed German millionaire businessman Michael Axtmann on May 22, and has spoken extensively to the media and friends about her excitement at the prospect of tying the knot.

But now the nuptials may not go ahead at all, after the 'Alone in the Dark' actress changed her relationship status to single on social networking website Facebook recently.

Reid has now confirmed the marriage will not be taking place, but has not given any reason for the change.

Instead, a statement simply said: “Tara Reid has confirmed that she will not be moving forward with her May 22 nuptials."

It is unknown if Tara and Michael are still a couple, or if they will be marrying at a later date.

The pair started dating in 2009, and got engaged in January.
