Tara Palmer-Tomkinson arrested by eight armed police at Heathrow airport

She was arrested after reportedly throwing a tantrum when she was denied access to a first-class lounge.

Socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has been arrested by eight armed police officers at Heathrow after ‘going ballistic’ because she was denied access to a first-class lounge.

Reports say that the 42-year old screamed at the airport staff and even tore out her own hair extensions. It was also reported that she was drunk during the incident.

One witness told The Sun:  ‘She had completely lost all control and she was screaming at officers. They had no choice but to arrest for her own and everyone else’s safety.’

Her arrest was captured on video where she can be seen arguing with a male and female police officers. She then become frustrated and ripped out a chunk of her hair extension. As she tried to flee, she screamed “f*** off” and hurled her coat on the floor as the police tried to stop her.

Another onlooker added: ‘She went ballistic, she screamed “I can’t f****** believe you are treating me like this”.’

However, Miss Palmer-Tomkinson has denied the reports. She said: ‘I was not drunk, there was no disorderly; I was cautioned and I saw a doctor, they were nice to me.’ She then flew out to Switzerland.
