Man of Steel director Zach Snyder has announced that Batman and Superman will appear together in a film for the first time and will fight each other during San Diego’s famous Comic-Con. The director added that the production will begin in 2014 and that the movie will be released in 2015.
The director said: “Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest superheroes in the world.”
The intriguing passage of the unfinished script has Batman saying: “I want you to remember, Clark [Kent, Superman’s alter ego], in all the years to come ... In your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.”
British actor Henry Cavill will return as Clark Kent. However, the new Batman is yet to be cast. Christian Bale, who played the role in Christopher Nolan’s recent trilogy, has previously said that he does not intend to do it again.
