Strictly Come Dancing favourite Natalie Gumede may not be able to perform this weekend after she suffered a back injury during rehearsals.
The former Corrie actress has reportedly fell over while practicing the fast-paced quickstep for Saturday’s show. After going through MRI scan, she was advised by her doctors to rest for 48 hours.
A TV insider said: “The medical team certainly found some swelling on Natalie’s back.
“She’s planning to see a consultant and is putting her feet up for a few days.
“Everyone is hoping she will still be able to dance, but it is all hanging in the balance at the moment.”
Meanwhile, Natalie’s dance partner Artem Chigvintsev, was worried. He told the Mirror: "We had to finish rehearsals early on Tuesday because of the pain in Natalie’s back - if it is serious she might not be able to continue in the competition.”
During last Saturday’s show, Natalie and her partner scored 36 for their passionate rumba. Judge Craig Revel, who is known to have acid tongue, praised the couple.
