Debra Stephenson, a former "Bad Girls" star, is set to strut her stuff in Weatherfield.
The actress, 31, will join the Coronation Street cast as sassy Essex-girl Frankie Baldwin, wife of Danny.
Danny Baldwin, played by Bradley Walsh, is Mike's nephew - he turns up to invest in the Underworld factory.
But Frankie is less than impressed about moving to a Weatherfield terrace and leaving behind a four-bedroom detached home.
She vents her bile on Karen MacDonald an insider from the soap revealed.
"Frankie makes an instant impression. She sashays into Weatherfield as a typical Essex girl - upfront, oozing confidence and with bags of glamour.
"She has a cool exterior and the sharpest stilettos in town. Look out Karen MacDonald!
"She's big on status and it won't be long before she has got everybody's back up with her high and mighty attitude. She'll give as good as she gets and won't take any prisoners."
Debra played Shell Dockley in "Bad Girls", her character left the show when warder Jim Fenner falsely accused her of attempting to murder her baby son and she was was transferred out of Lark Hall prison.
"I'm very excited about joining the Street as I am a massive fan of the show and it's always been a favourite in our house," Debra commented.
She will first be seen by the Corrie faithful in June.
