Stones soldier on

The Rolling Stones want to play a special concert in Iraq for American and British soldiers.

Frontman Mick Jagger says the rockers would be prepared to perform in the war ravaged country to raise troops' morale, but only if they are asked by the military or the government.

Jagger said: "The boys are doing a very professional and tough job. They aren't having a lot of fun. If we were asked it would be a very, very serious consideration.

"Just because I don't support the policy doesn't mean I don't support the troops."

Despite his generous offer, Mick believes soldiers would prefer to see a bevy of beautiful girls on stage than the supergroup.

He added: "The troops would probably be more interested in seeing a lot of pretty girls than us."

Earlier this week, Jagger confessed he is scared of living in London.

The legendary singer expresses his fear in new song 'Rain Fall Down' which contains the lyrics, "Feel like we're living in a battleground/Everyone's jazzed."

He revealed: "It's a scary time. After the bombs, there were so many armed police. Seeing machine guns, is not how you imagine London."
