Gwen Stefani hopes having children will stop her from being so vain and greedy.
The beautiful singer, who is desperate to give up her music career to be a mother, says she never expected to lead such a glamorous life and had only dreamed of settling down and having a family.
She said: "As a famous person you think how you think you're gonna end it, get away and have a normal life. I imagine my children are going to save me from my vanity and be my passion. When I start a family, I'm not going to have time to run round the world doing this s**t and being greedy."
The 'No Doubt' star who lives in London with her husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, said she never planned to be a rockstar and thought she would end up playing happy families with her first boyfriend, musician Tony Kanal.
She added: "All I ever did was look at Tony and pray that God would let me have a baby with him."
