Russell Brand and Katy Perry finally tied the knot this weekend, but their big day did go off with a slight hitch.
The couple, who wed in an Indian wildlife park, had to be kept under armed guard after a man-eating tiger scaled two 50ft walls to enter the marriage ceremony area.
The tiger, named Maharaja and has so far killed three people since it started it terrifying rampage of the area, only retreated after four bodyguards beat it with a stick. It is now thought to have gone back into the forest.
Russell, 35 and Katy, 26, had to spend their wedding night under tight security after tying the knot earlier in the day.
Ironically, Perry has reportedly been given a tiger as wedding present from her new husband, whilst she gave Russell an elephant.
Guests, including comedian David Baddiel and rapper P Diddy, watched as the couple took part in a traditional Hindu wedding in which they were tied together with silk scarves and circled fire seven times.
The marriage comes after a whirlwind romance, in which the I Kissed a Girl singer and the comedian started last year.
The pair met whilst taking part in the MTV Awards in 2009 and got engaged within months. Brand wrote about Perry in his recent biography, naming her as the reason for quietening his infamous outrageous antics.
