It has been confirmed that Lindsay Lohan will face trial after being accused of stealing a £1,500 necklace.
The actress rejected a judge's offer of a plea deal and will be forced to protest her innocence in court.
Twenty-four-year Lindsay is accused of leaving a store in California in January, with the necklace in her possession.
The 24-year-old, who was on probation at the time over a drink-driving case, claims she was borrowing the jewellery.
Lohan is required to appear in court on 22 April for a preliminary hearing.
If the judge rules that she should stand trial, she could be sentenced for parole violation immediately and sent to prison for the fourth time.
The actress has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
