Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, the daredevil duo who fought to keep a busload of passengers alive against the odds of a bomb-rigged vehicle in Speed, are teaming up again.
Filming on their latest collaboration, Il Mare, a re-make of the original Korean film Siworae, is due to begin in March.
Unsurprisingly, there will be neither buses nor bombs this time around and the plot will instead revolve around two lonely individuals who exchange letters through a mailbox that somehow bridges time.
It may not sound like the most likely of romances but hopes are high for the film after Pulitzer prize-winning writer David Auburn agreed to pen the script.
To complement its foreign title and beginnings, Il Mare will also be directed by the Argentine movie mastermind Alejandro Agresti.
Bullock will play a lonely doctor who finds friendship with an architect, played by Reeves. However, the couple find out that love is never easy, particularly when they realise they're living in time zones two years apart.
