Lesbian Sonia Fowler is set to shock viewers when she smooches a man in a new 'EastEnders' storyline.

The brunette, who is played by actress Natalie Cassidy, left husband Martin, played by James Alexandrou, and swore off men for good when she fell for pal Naomi.

But the young mum is devastated when Naomi, who is played by Petra Letang, suddenly leaves her.

She turns to old flame Gus Smith, who is played by actor Mo George, for comfort and the pair end up locking lips for old time's sake.

Meanwhile, it's been claimed 'EastEnders' bosses will kill Sonia off when the character exits the soap next year.

Show chiefs have decided on the dramatic storyline since both Natalie Cassidy and James Alexandrou announced they were quitting the series.

One plot being considered is that the jilted greengrocer will murder his former spouse after struggling to come to terms with her sexuality.
