Roger Moore's son Geoffrey has reportedly gone to a read-through to play the part of James Bond.
According to The Sun the 37-year-old son of Roger is on the shortlist of candidates to step into the famous Aston Martin after Pierce Brosnan hangs up his Walter PPK.
The paper claims Geoffrey, a restaurateur and actor, attended the read-through with producer Barbara Broccoli after negotiations between film bosses and Brosnan collapsed.
It is widely believed that Brosnan will play Bond in the next film, but no more. Roger Moore starred in seven Bond films between 1973 and 1985.
A source said: "Geoffrey is like a real-life Bond. He looks the part, too. He's a dashing upper-class restaurateur who lives a real jet-setting lifestyle. If anything, he is more like James Bond than his dad."
