Coronation Street's Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) will unwittingly seduce 16-year-old schoolboy Ben Richardson in a controversial toyboy plot, it has been revealed.

Ben moves in with Michelle, 35, while his parents go on holiday and an affair begins.

In scenes set to be aired in the week before Christmas, Ben comforts Michelle over her brother Liam's death with a hug but the gentle display of affection soon escalates.

As they hold each other, Michelle says: "You're so sweet Ben. If they could bottle you they'd make a fortune. I'd treat myself to a big bottle."

Ben (Lucien Laviscount) then leans in and the pair kiss before Michelle pulls away.

Ben, who is best friends with Michelle's son Ryan, flees from the flat after the affair turns sour and resolves to leave Weatherfield for good.

But Ryan finds out and threatens violent revenge. Ben then confesses the tryst to his girlfriend Sophie and packs his bags.

It was revealed in September that Lucien was planning to quit Corrie to break into films.
