Wesley Snipes, the all-action star of the vampire-crushing Blade franchise, may have bitten off more than he can chew with the news that he is to take on one of the world's biggest and richest cities in the law courts.
The actor, who soared to fame with his fast-talking turn in the basketball buddy flick White Men Can't Jump, has revealed he is suing the city of New York in relation to an arrest warrant issued against him during an ongoing paternity case.
According to the lawsuit, Snipes claims the city had no right to seek his DNA after what he claims to be a notorious woman with a history of making spurious claims against celebrities alleged that Snipes had sex with her in a crack house.
Claiming that he has never even met the woman before, Snipes is seeking to have the warrant nullified and to prevent his DNA from being sought.
According to Snipes legal representatives, the fact that the actor lives in Orlando, Florida, means New York City has no jurisdiction to file such a warrant.
