Corrie's Karen McDonald makes a dramatic exit on Christmas Day when the catfight with Tracy Barlow comes to a rooftop climax.

Crazed Karen goes on the rampage after she loses the baby she has always wanted and, in revenge, snatches Tracy's daughter Amy.

Karen, played by Suranne Jones, 25, takes the little girl on a terror trip before setting fire to husband Steve's car, the Daily Star reports.

Tracy, played by Kate Ford, 28, finally catches up with her archenemy on the roof of Mike Baldwin's factory.

The two women meet in a fiery showdown that eventually sees Karen falling over the edge.

"They are explosive scenes," a Coronation Street insider told the newspaper.

"Tracy is prepared to kill Karen if that's what it takes."
