Paris Hilton has allegedly been caught carrying cannabis in her handbag.

The 25-year-old socialite was pictured with a transparent plastic bag of what appeared to be skunk, a powerful form of marijuana, at a Milan fashion party.

A witness said: "Paris had her bag open for quite a while as she applied lip gloss. There were a few shocked faces around her but she carried on chatting away."

Last month, Paris was charged with drunk driving after being stopped by police as she sped to get a burger after a charity event.

The 'House of Wax' star insists she only drank one cocktail but had been driving erratically as she hadn't eaten all day.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning (04.10.06), Paris was involved in a fight with ex-beauty queen Shanna Moakler at Hyde nightclub.

Shanna allegedly shouted abuse at Paris and punched her in the face after learning the heiress had kissed her ex-husband, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
