Singer Bobby Brown is engaged.

The 'Two Can Play That Game' vocalist, proposed to his girlfriend Alicia Etheridge on stage in Jacksonville, Florida, on Friday (May 7).

Brown was previously wed to Whitney Houston for 15 years - of which many years were spent in the news headlines. Their relationship was marred with substance abuse.

Alicia and their 11-month-old son Cassius joined the soul singer on stage while he was performing at Funk Fest, in Metro Park, at which point the 'My Prerogative' star got down on one knee and asked her for her hand in marriage.

The audience cheered as the couple shared a kiss after Alicia accepted the R&B star's diamond engagement ring. Alicia also serves as his manager.

Fan Carol Pearsall said: "We shouted, we screamed. We supported him."

Her husband Bob said: "Hopefully, he'll get it right this time."

Brown has been in a relationship with Alicia for the past three years. He has a 17-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with Whitney, as well as three other children from previous relationships.
