Commenting on his character having to wear flanner on the head, he added: “It’s Star Wars. I burn for Star Wars.”
The exclusive footage was shown during the Star Wars panel at the San Diego Comic Con. It caused a frenzy as shorts of the mega star cast including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels and newcomers Lupita Nyong'o, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Domhnall Gleeson, were seen filming scenes for the movie.
JJ Abrams introduces the footage, which shows the sets, special effects props, characters in costumes, interviews with the cast, and scenes of the desert planet Jakku.
Mark Hamill, who appeared in the original Star Wars saga, is heard saying: "Nothing's changed really, well, everything has changed but nothing has changed... That's how you want it to be."
