Simon Cowell has just one act left in the X Factor after his girlband, Belle Amie, were voted off on Sunday night.
It all came down to the public vote after Katie Waissel and the girl group both sang for survival; in the end it was the viewers votes that sent the girls home.
Simon has already faced criticism from fellow judge, Louis Walsh, over supposedly ignoring the girls in past shows and favouring his boy band, One Direction.
Now he has no choice but to focus on the boys if he wants a shot at winning the competition.
Cheryl's act Katie Waissel and Simon's Belle Amie both shockingly found themselves in the bottom two, but as the judges couldn't decide who to send home, it came down to deadlock.
Simon said that the girls had been "a pleasure to work with" and added: "I don't think it's the end for this group, they're survivors."
Next week's show will see the return of Shayne Ward and a performance from judge Dannii's sister Kylie.
