It has been confirmed that Simon Cowell will be making a comeback to this year’s X-Factor in order to promote moral.
His return is expected to bring back former fans of the show and to boost viewership, which has disappointed the show’s bosses lately.
News about his return was revealed by the show’sExecutive Producer, Richard Holloway, at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
The original X-Factor star would be appearing ‘in some guise, somewhere’ in the currently running series of the show but refused to give more details.
He told the Mirror: “That’s all I’m prepared to say – it’s not a hologram.”
Although the details regarding Cowell’s return are still being finalized, he has reportedly been filmed revealing which of the four categories the judges of the show will mentor.
There are also speculations that he will play a bigger role later on in the series.
Some would say the main problem it seems is logistics, as Cowell, 52, has been in the US for the last few years concentrating on the American version of X-Factor.
“He moves over (to the US) lock, stock and barrel, he stays there. He doesn’t like to-ing and fro-ing across two continents,” Mr. Holloway admitted, as quoted by The Mirror.
“The only difficulty is with Simon being based in the US. The plan is for him to be a significant on-screen part of the show. He’s a big favourite with viewers.”
