Sienna Miller’s nude portrait is highlight of Jonathan Yeo’s exhibition

Sienna Miller posed naked while heavily pregnant; her portrait is displayed in Berlin

Sienna Miller has joined the list of celebrities who have posed naked for an artist while being heavily pregnant. Jonathan Yeo is the artist behind the portrait and the ‘Under My Skin’ exhibition at the Circle Culture Gallery in Berlin.

 

Yeo, who is known for his ironic portraits of political figures, talked about the portrait.

 

“This portrait of Sienna was painted a few weeks before the birth of her baby Marlowe and is part of a series of pictures of her which I plan to exhibit next year,” he said, as quoted by The Independent.

 

“I wanted an image that epitomised the human body in its most naturally beautiful state to make the sharpest possible contrast with my other paintings in this exhibition, which document patients undergoing cosmetic surgery in a bid to help them conform to societal notions of beauty.”

 

Yeo praised Miller for her courage by posing nude, when presumably many public figures would prefer to hide themselves away for nine months.

 

He reportedly added that Miller is widely regarded as one of the most naturally beautiful actresses in the world.
