'She's not the brightest'

Glee's Matthew Morrison rips into Kelly Brook...

After they were pictured together in 2010, rumours surfaced that Glee star Matthew Morrison and Kelly Brook were an item, but neither one of them confirmed the pairing at the time.

However, Morrison has now confessed that he and Kelly were more than friends; however he's not been very complimentary about the model, saying that she wasn't "the brightest".

In an interview with the Mirror, Morrison, who plays teacher Mr Schuester in the show, said:

"I once went out with a Brit, I didnÂ’t realise she was such tabloid fodder. It was Kelly Brook... sheÂ’s not exactly the brightest bulb. We only went on one date..."

It seems the newspaper caught him on a bad day, as he continued to lament about his Glee contract, complaining that it was "frustrating" being tied into the show:

"Once they have you, they trap you. I’m tied in to seven years – I signed up to seven years and I cannot get out of it.

"I have a really good lawyer but there’s nothing we can do – I’ve had offers recently for a few really cool movies but had to turn them down. It’s so frustrating.

"None of us realised when we signed up it’d turn into this – we thought it was just a show about kids singing and dancing. But I’ve done three years now, so I have another four to go – I literally cannot get out of it.

"ItÂ’s a great show, it provided me with my big break, but what can I do? Urrrgh."

The third season of Glee, which follows a group of High School students who perform as a show choir, is currently airing on Sky. 

The popular series has seen cameos from the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears and Ricky Martin.
