Shakira crowned Facebook's most popular celebrity

Shakira had set the record with over 100 million fans on Facebook.

Shakira is officially the world’s most liked celebrity on Facebook boasting over 100 million fans. The songstress is followed by Rihanna who has 91.9 million and rapper Eminem with 89 million fans.

Based on the amount of likes, if the singer’s fans joined hands, they will be able to wrap around the world four times and would be able to fill 1,359 Maracana stadiums.

57per cent of Shakira’s fans were women, most of whom are single (58per cent). While three out of ten are called Maria, one in ten of her male following are named Jose. The majority of her fans come from Istanbul, Cairo, and Mexico City.

The singer’s social media team post in different languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, and Russian, so that her international following constantly feel involved.
