There will be a sequel to this year's hugely popular horror, The Woman in Black, Hammer Films have confirmed.
The follow-up will be based on author Susan Hill's second novel, The Woman in Black: Angels of Death, and will be set 40 years after the original.
It will tell the tale of a couple who come across the haunted Eel Marsh House, the eerie setting from the first film.
Vice-chairman of Exclusive Media and president of Hammer Films, Simon Oakes, said:
"We are proud and honoured to be working with Susan again on The Woman in Black: Angels Of Death, a wonderful new tale every bit as atmospheric and terrifying as its predecessor The Woman in Black."
Co-chairman and CEO of Exclusive Media, Nigel Sinclair, added:
"It's thrilling to be able to work with someone of Susan's literary calibre on such a fascinating project."
The Woman in Black, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, was the highest grossing British horror film of the last 20 years, earning £120million in ticket sales worldwide.
