A recently invented drone provides a solution for taking perfect social media snaps from a variety of angles. The self-flying drone phone case known as “SELFLY” has a camera attached and wraps around any smart phone. It can be unclipped and glides around independently.
Inventor Hagay Klein, who used to be an Israeli orthodontist, said: 'Think of SELFLY as your own personal photographer, which can take the greatest overview shots.
'SELFLY can capture the most amazing moments from different aspects and fits right in your pocket - perfect for anyone who hates schlepping selfie sticks and drones',
SELFLY uses smart camera technology and has nine-millimetre thick body. It is designed to fly autonomously and is able to capture amazing views and even record videos from new perspective. Unlike other drones, it does not require a controller system.
The device has already surpassed its $125,000 funding target on Kickstarter, raising almost $200,000 so far. Backers are allowed to reserve their own for $99 and are expected to receive the device by June.
Similar inventions have been created recently but SELFLY is the first in the market to seamlessly attach to phones and fly by itself.
