Arnold Schwarzenegger is terminating his relationship with his hometown in Austria.
The actor-turned-politician has told officials in Graz to stop using his name to promote the city and instructed them to remove his name from a sports stadium.
Arnie's request came just days after several politicians in the city started a petition to rename the stadium in outrage at the star's decision last week, in his role as the Governor of California, not to spare the life of condemned killer Stanley 'Tookie' Williams who was executed by lethal injection.
Schwarzenegger has now said he will no longer permit the use of his name "to advertise or promote the city of Graz in any way", according to America's New York Daily News newspaper.
Officials are yet to comment on the 'Terminator' star's instructions, but it is believed the stadium will be renamed in the New Year.
