Woody Allen has criticised Scarlett Johansson's fashion sense - saying she dresses like his "Aunt Minnie".
The beautiful actress - who stars in the director's latest film, 'Match Point' - often features in 'best dressed celebrity' lists and has been compared to Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.
But Allen, 70, is not impressed by the 21-year-old's fashion choices.
He told US magazine Fashion Wear Daily: "I have had many conversations with Scarlett on this subject.
"She needs to be more natural. She is a beautiful girl, but I have told her to tone it down.
"I have told her to dress her age, instead of dressing like my Aunt Minnie."
Scarlett is not surprised by the director's criticism.
She said: "Woody doesn't like anything I wear."
Scarlett's mother has also criticized her daughter's fashion sense - but for a different reason.
Melanie Johansson told off Scarlett for revealing too much cleavage at last week's Golden Globe awards.
A family friend said: "Melanie said she looked like a member of the 'Baywatch' cast.
"Mel feels Scarlett tried a little too hard to show off her figure - to the point where she was almost bursting out of her low-cut dress."
