Scarlett Johansson’s surprised pregnancy, which shocked some of her fans, could delay filming of the Avengers sequel which is due to start on the first week of April.
Due to her growing figure, which eagle-eyed fans glimpsed as she stood next to her fiancé on the red carpet of the Cesar Film Awards in Paris, the shooting of her upcoming movie The Avengers: Age of Ultron, maybe re-scheduled.
The 29-year-old actress, who plays Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, is required to squeeze into a figure-hugging catsuit for her performance. The role also requires the would-be first time mother to be extremely active on the set.
Because of this, it was reported that her bosses are keen to shoot her scenes as soon as possible. A well-placed source said: 'Shooting for the superhero sequel will need a bit of rearranging. They're going to fast-track her scenes.'
Meanwhile, Scarlett has announced her pregnancy just six months after her French fiancé popped the question with a vintage Art Deco ring last year. However, the actress said that they are not rushing into getting married. She said: 'being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savour.'
Scarlett has been married once before to actor Ryan Reynolds. They divorced in July 2011 after three years of marriage.
