StarÂ’s partner secretly gives birth...

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon and her partner Christine Marinoni have welcomed a baby boy.

Marinoni gave birth to the coupleÂ’s first child, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni on 8 February.

A spokesperson for the pair said that “Christine and baby are doing great".

The couple chose not to announce that they were expecting and have not released any details regarding the identity of the childÂ’s biological father.

Nixon, who played lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the TV show, already has two children from a previous relationship with English professor Danny Mozer, who she was with for 15 years.

The couple split in 2003 and Nixon went public with Christine, 43, in 2004.

Marinoni and Nixon now live together in Manhattan with CynthiaÂ’s two children, Samantha, 14, and Charles, eight.
