Susan Sarandon is such a strong believer in deep love that she doubts she'd ditch longtime partner Tim Robbins if he cheated on her.
The couple have been together for 17 years without marrying and the actress insists she's so secure about their relationship that she'd understand if Robbins had a fling with a love rival - just as long as he didn't start sending her poems.
Sarandon says, "If my partner was having an affair I don't know if I'd want to bring it to a head or I'd want to see if it plays itself out.
"I don't know that having an affair is really as bad as writing someone a poem. That would hurt me more than a sexual slip here or there.
"Maybe that's just me in my old age. I don't know if the sexual thing would hurt me as much as if someone had that bloom of love for someone who was writing them poetry and they weren't f**king.
"That for me would be the hard thing to deal with... The physical thing for me would be understandable after a lot of years. The other thing would be really hurtful.
"It's kind of humiliating also to scream and yell and be one of those women who say, 'What are you doing? Where have you been?' I don't know if I'd do that."
