It’s confirmed! Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct the “50 Shades of Grey” movie. The author of the trilogy, EL James has announced the news on her Twitter page on Wednesday night.
She wrote: “I'm delighted & thrilled to let you guys know that Sam Taylor-Johnson has agreed to direct the film of Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will produce the movie.
De Luca explained why Sam is the best director for the movie. He said: “Sam’s unique ability to gracefully showcase complex relationships dealing with love, emotion and sexual chemistry make her the ideal director to bring Christian and Anastasia’s relationship to life.”
Sam made here directorial debut in 2009 with Nowhere Boy about the early life of Jon Lennon.
Now that the name of the director was revealed, there is only one question on fans minds and that would be: Who will play the role of Anastasia and Christina? Well, the lead male and female parts are for now still being kept under wraps.
