Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears’ former manager who is suing the singer for money he claims he’s owed from 2007 and 2008, took to the witness stand in court on Tuesday. He testified that the reason for the pop star shaving her hair during her infamous 2007 meltdown was to hide traces of drugs.
Lutfi told a Los Angeles Jury, as quoted by Female First: “Britney was involved in a wicked child custody battle. She told me someone had told her that they can scientifically test her hair for a history of drug use so she shaved it off.”
He added that he met Spears in a nightclub in 2007 where their friendship started, and claims Britney talked about her drug problems and broken marriage to Kevin Federline.
The hair-shaving incident came before Spears was hospitalized twice. Because of her meltdown, Britney’s father took over as conservator of her estate and Lutfi was released as the singer’s manager.
Lutfi is asking for 15per cent of Britney’s earnings for the months he claims he is entitled to the fee. In addition, he’s also suing Spears’ father for assault and her mother over allegations she made about him in her memoirs, ‘Through The Storm’.
