David Seaman may be good at saving footballs but it appears that he spectacularly failed to save his own pride by appearing in an ad for Currys with Linda Barker.
Now the electrical duo have been voted the worst TV advert of the year by industry mag Campaign.
"As if Linda Barker wasn't bad enough, [Currys] made one of the most excruciating celeb appearances even worse by the addition of His Woodenness David Seaman," the magazine said.
The list of cringe-making commercials also included David Beckham, Tim Henman and EastEnders' Dean Gaffney.
David and Linda just pipped the England captain to the post for his appearance for razor company Gillette.
"You've seen it a thousand times before," Campaign said of Becks' starring role.
"More fool Beckham for agreeing to put his face to it."
In third place was Sex in the City's Kim Cattrall, who was chosen to advertise Tetley Tea despite looking about as likely to drink the brew as the glamourous New Yorker she represents.
However, as well as heaping their scorn on celebrity commercials, Campaign also highlighted some of the ads they thought worked.
Engelbert Humperdinck and Peter Kay's plug for John Smith's came out on top, followed by Alan Whicker for Travelocity and Donald Sutherland for Barclays.
