Comedian set to meet ex Katy Perry to discuss separation...

After filing for divorce from his wife of 14 months Katy Perry, Russell Brand has now arrived in L.A to come face to face with her for the first time.

The couple have not yet seen each other since they decided to end their marriage late last year, however earlier this week, removal vans were seen taking BrandÂ’s belongings from the mansion they own together to his new home.

Russell, who arrived in Los Angeles last week, was seen dining at a steak house last night by himself and seemed to be deep in thought as he prepared himself for his meeting with Katy to finalise their divorce.

However, a source close to the singer told the Mail Online that the two have different aims for the meeting:

"He has agreed to meet her one last time. He wants to sort things out and finalise the divorce. But Katy says she is still in love with him and she still hopes they might get back together."

Speculation over the pairÂ’s relationship had been in the newspapers for months but the couple were always quick to quash rumours that it was in trouble. That was until they were spotted spending the Christmas holidays on separate continents.

Russell filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" and it is rumoured that it was in fact Katy who wanted the split, but did not want to disappoint her Christian parents.

Brand released a statement in December 2011, saying:

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. IÂ’ll always adore her and I know weÂ’ll remain friends."
